Mr Nasar A. V, inherited his business acumen and entrepreneurship from his father (Late) A. V. Kunhi Kuttiali who was a prominent merchant in his native Panoor village in Kerala, India. Nasar started out on his business career at the young age of 18 and in a career spanning over 40 years since then has built up a sizable portfolio with diverse business investments in India, UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Mumbai, or Bombay as it was called then, was his chosen city to start his retail businesses in and where he picked up his prowess and leadership skills during the first 20 years of his career. He still has many business interests in India’s commercial capital. Around 25 years back, Nasar expanded his business to the UAE and has since diversified and entered into partnerships with several business groups in the Middle-East.
Apart from all entities under his chairmanship – these include 7 supermarkets and a cafeteria – Nasar is a partner in other businesses like Ain Al Madina Hypermarket LLC, Ajman; Al Madina Supermarket LLC, Sharjah; Radio Restaurant, Sharjah; Al Madina Supermarket LLC, Khor Fakkan; Fakhamat Al Madina Supermarket LLC, Sharjah; and Meena Centre FZE, Jebel Ali.

As Express Al Madeena Group’s Regional Head, Mohammad Salih PK is in charge of Track-In Electronics, our electronics retail business based in Mumbai. Salih’s outstanding commercial instincts and keen understanding of Indian customers’ needs in the electronics sector has helped deliver over a decade of successful retail growth for us.
As someone who started off his career in retail at a very young age, Salih has well-developed people skills and networking abilities. His 32 years of experience coupled with his attention to detail helps him lead our all India operations admirably. Under his leadership, our retail outlet is now a favorite with customers from all walks of life.
ASHRAF PK | MANAGING DIRECTOR
Ashraf Poovathan Kandi has over 20 years of hands-on experience in the retail business and the electronics industry. He graduated in science and went on to complete higher studies in Information Technology before turning to business as a career option. A good team-man with visionary leadership skills, Ashraf has been instrumental in the company growing from strength to strength and starting branches throughout the UAE.
With his family engaged in the retail business for generations, a career in business was natural for Ashraf. Back in Panoor, his native village in Kerala, India, Ashraf’s father, late Mr. Yousuf Poovathan Kandi (PKY), and ancestors were well-known merchants who gained a lot of goodwill through their fair trade practices, integrity, business partnership and the excellent rapport they managed to build with customers and the community at large. Ashraf has inherited all these qualities and with his positive approach and results-driven leadership, the company is poised to grow even stronger.

Coming from a family engaged in retail business for long and having played a crucial role in his family’s business interests ever since his early twenties, Muneer P K brings with him strategic thinking and vision. Muneer’s tenure as General Manager has successfully revitalized our business and helped deliver high growth consistently. His ideas have helped Express Al Madeena streamline its business, and increase sales and retail gross margin.
Muneer has 20 years of retail experience under his belt and worked his way up the management chain. His willingness to learn and his ability to sense the right opportunities makes him a respected figure in the industry.
